Mr. Peacock Packer Review

When I first came across Squidly Co. thanks to Bluesky, I was quickly drawn to the Mr. Peacock Packer which was designed by Frost. I knew after I finished my holiday shopping I wanted to gift myself with a new packer, and Squidly’s definitely caught my eye, mostly due to the curved back. I chose a 2 color ombré pour, in the medium size. I wanted something a bit bigger than my other packer, but I knew I didn’t want to go with a large. For my coloration I chose “Merlot” for the base and “Rose Pearl Sparkle” for the tip. I did not request any extra sparkle.

Size, Color Options, and Appearance

The Mr. Peacock Packer is only sold in 00-30 soft firmness silicone, three sizes (small, medium, and large), and custom options for coloring. Including glitter add-ons.

The packer itself is designed to its namesake, with peacock feathering wrapping around the base and scrotum. The “eye” design of the peacock feather is featured on each ball, which I think is a cool touch. The shaft features an uncircumcised look, that’s not quite realistically human.

Shipping and Freebies

I was very excited when I received my package from Squidly Co. It shipped out very fast, and the packer was a custom color selection, not an in-stock model and turn around time was excellent. Squidly Co. packages their products very well, and the boxes are plain and discreet, and they don’t use the company’s name for the return address. When you order you get to select a free mini toy squish that will be a random squish of one of their models, or a company logo squish. They also include some free stickers. Their products also come with a cloth bag! For free! I can’t explain how nice it is that the company includes a free storage bag with your purchase. When you own a lot of toys like I do, it’s nice to get extra storage bags. The storage bag is also handy for transporting my packer so it doesn’t get a bunch of lint and whatever else while traveling.

What Size to Get?

Size preference for packers is down to just individual taste and preference. I’m short, just five foot, so I didn’t want a packer that was going to look out of proportion with my body and be glaringly obvious that I’m wearing it. I have a small Archer packer already from NYTC (New York toy collective), so I wanted something just a bit bigger, which is why I went with the medium.

After I placed my order I got super worried that a medium would be too big and I was going to just look like I had an erection, or a small dildo stuffed in my pants. However, once the package arrived these fears were alleviated. The medium is just the size upgrade I was hoping for, while not being glaringly obvious on my frame. I am what is called “small fat” in the plus-size community, so if you have a smaller frame than me and are worried about your packer being too obvious you may want to get a small.

The shaft of the medium Mr. Peacock is just about the same length as my small Archer, but it’s thicker. The two packers are very similar in size overall, but the Peacock is thicker in the shaft and scrotum so it creates a more distinct bulge on me.

How comfortable is it and does it stay put?

Wearing the Mr. Peacock Packer is made very comfortable by its curved back, which I have been able to position on my mons pubis, and lower, halfway on my outer labia, all without discomfort. The curved back helps the packer stay in place, too. If I accidently place the packer too low the scrotum rubs against my thighs, but my thighs are thick and rub together so that’s not a problem everyone will have. So long as it’s placed in a good spot for my body it doesn’t cause any discomfort. I haven’t dealt with the packer slipping down or out of place, but I’ve only worn it with boxer-briefs, and briefs. I also haven’t done any strenuous exercise with it. I have done some easy hiking trails though and it was no issue. If you wear looser underwear you may experience slipping because it’s got a bit of weight.

Placement and Silicone Firmness

Where you choose to wear your packer is just a matter of preference and comfort. If you want more of a bulge, positioning it higher on the mons pubis is the way to go, but if you want your bulge to be more discreet move the packer down. The style of pants, shorts, skirt, or whatever clothing you put on your bottom will also dictate how prominent the Mr. Peacock Packer is. The silicone is soft 00-30 but it doesn’t squish down very much even in tight clothing. It feels closer to medium silicone to me. This means you don’t have to worry about tight underwear making your packer completely non-existent. If someone were to bump into/brush against your packer by accident it would almost definitely be felt, because of the firmness of the silicone. This isn’t a situation that will happen often of course, but if you’re wondering will it be noticeable during an airport pat down or some such event, the answer is yes.

How does it look in clothes?

I have been able to wear just about any clothes I want, and the medium Mr. Peacock has not been a comically large bulge, on me. This will of course vary from frame to frame. On the flip side though, it’s not such a discreet bulge that it can’t be seen if I want it to be, or if someone is paying enough attention. I can position it so it’s almost imperceptible with just about anything I’m wearing if I don’t want a noticeable bulge, except leggings. It’s a little noticeable no matter what I do with leggings. Or I can wear it positioned a little higher and have a bulge that looks natural on my frame with any other clothes.

An Extension of Me

While wearing the packer the silicone is firm enough that I do stay more aware of it than I do the softer Archer. I like this feeling, but if you’re hoping for a packer that you can completely tune out, this one may take some getting used to. However, I do not pack every single day, or all the time, because I am a homebody and just wear a lot of pajamas/lounge clothes, and no underwear. How quickly you can tune out a packer may be a skill you’re better at than me. When anything taps against the packer, like my phone in my pocket, or clothing snags on it, I can feel it. Obviously I don’t feel the silicone but I do feel the reverberation through the silicone and into my body. I like this because it makes it feel more like an extension of me.

Silicone versus TPE for packers

The Mr. Peacock Packer is made of platinum cure silicone, which is non-porous and completely body safe. If you’re looking for your first packer you may be wondering should you get silicone or TPE? The downside to TPE is it’s porous and therefore can never be fully sanitized. Many folks do start out with a TPE packer, but the oils in TPE do react badly with some folks’ skin, and the aforementioned porosity poses hygiene problems. If you choose to get a TPE packer I would suggest wearing it in a separate pouch and not directly against your skin. If you can swing for a silicone packer, I highly suggest it because you can keep it hygienic, wear it directly against skin, and it will last longer. And if you decide packing isn’t for you, you can easily resell or gift silicone products because they’re completely sterilizable.

The Mr. Peacock Packer is also one of the most affordable silicone packers I’ve seen, and worth saving for, in my opinion.

Cleaning the Mr. Peacock Packer

Washing and upkeep of the Mr. Peacock Packer is simple and easy since it is silicone. Wash it with warm water and mild soap after wearing it, and give it a good rinse before using if it has picked up lint and debris.  Keeping your packer washed and clean is just as important as keeping your silicone sex toys clean, because it will be in the area of your genitals. It can also be sterilized by boiling, using the 10% bleach solution, or being run through the dishwasher with no detergent if you have a sanitize cycle. Be sure to wash and rinse the packer with soap and water again after bleaching it.

Looking out for the Community

Another reason I was very excited to purchase from Squidly Co. is because they’re a company of trans artists that really care about the trans and queer community. They have a fund for folks to donate to so folks who can’t afford a packer can get one, and for every ten packers sold they add to the funds themselves. Our community taking care of one another is very important, and something I hope we can all remember in the years to come. I have been very happy with my Mr. Peacock Packer since I got it, and I will be putting it to good use for years to come. If you’re in the market for a packer the Mr. Peacock Packer is definitely worth considering. If you’d like to donate to the packer fund you can do so here
