The Fugu plug from Uberrime is shaped a bit like a pufferfish and this really thrills me, because I seriously love pufferfish. The Green Spotted Puffer and Dwarf Puffer are my favorite varieties, but they’re all so cute and full of personality. The Fugu plug is just as full of personality and unique features; it’s a versatile plug for everyone, being designed as a pussy plug or a butt plug. It can be ordered in 3 sizes to suit your needs, two density options, soft and squishy 00-30 or soft shore 00-50 silicone, and a large array of colors. Uberrime pours some very gorgeous silicone, too, so no matter the colors you select you will be in love.

Specs, Firmness, and Appearance

The Fugu Plug I selected is the medium size, which is 4.75 inches total, with 4 of those inches being insertable, and has a max diameter of 1.71 inches. I asked for the coloration to be a surprise because color isn’t super important to me, and I am very pleased with the colors it came in. I went with the 00-50 soft shore silicone which is squishy like cold gummy candy; not super firm and not super soft. The surface of the silicone is very silky feeling! It’s matte-like but softer than a powdery-finish matte. I love the head design on this plug, it’s small, a bit pointy, and has a unique anatomy look to it. Very curious what the function of the small diamond shape on it would be if it was from a living creature?

Why Pussy Plugs are Important to Me

I deal with chronic pain, and that’s not a secret if you’ve been here before. Sex toys became so important to me not just because of the pleasure they bring me, but the pain relief as well. I don’t have vaginismus but I do get a lot of “tension knots” as I call them, in my vaginal canal. I don’t have an issue with inserting objects into my vagina, but I do have an issue with getting incredibly tight spots and tensed muscles that make my overall pain conditions worse if I don’t stay on top of them. One of the things that I learned helped me with these issues is pussy plugs.

Very similar to how folks use dilators to keep their muscles less tense, and able to handle penetration, I can use pussy plugs to help my muscles and tension spots. The reason I use pussy plugs as opposed to dilators is the shape. Dilators are straight up and down, and on the narrow side because they’re for helping vaginismus and conditions that require more narrow objects. For me, I need more of a stretch, and especially pressure side to side. Pussy plugs are also easier to have stay in place while I move around and do other things.

Pain relief is not the only reason I love pussy plugs though. I’ve been obsessed with having my pussy stretched and stuffed full with an object that stays in place pretty much since I started having sexual fantasies. Also, the ability to add a sexual thrill to normally non-sexual situations is fun for me. I love to use plugs, vaginal and anal, while playing video games, writing, reading, watching TV, and during more mundane activities like brushing my teeth. Many pussy plugs can also be worn out of the house if you enjoy doing that.

Ease of Use

The Fugu plug is easy for me to insert vaginally, even without really being warmed up or aroused, which is ideal for when I’m using it for pain management. I just apply lube and slowly slide it in. Getting wet, or turned on isn’t always on the table for me if I’m in pain, so having sex toys that work during any condition is nice. I chose the medium sized plug because I felt it would be the most versatile in my situation, and I wasn’t wrong. The Fugu plug presses my front wall more than plugs with a scoop like the Squarepeg G-Squeeze, but I wouldn’t say it’s an intense stimulation, just a pleasant pressure on my urethral sponge tissue. If I want to increase this pressure slightly I can turn the plug “backwards” so the more rounded belly of the model is pressed against this area instead. Wearing the plug forward, or backward is very comfortable either way, and changes the internal stimulation slightly, but not drastically.

Texture and Clit Stimulation

The Fugu plug is lightly textured with some little raised bumps, which is a nice change of pace from my other pussy plugs. The texture is not intense or placed where it causes any irritation during long term use. The base of the plug also has a raised bump design that I can use for clit stimulation in a few different ways. When I’m using the plug in more of a sitting position for activities like playing video games I can grind against the base and stimulate my clit. If I’m using the plug for masturbation I can hold the base and thrust the plug in and out, bumping my clit with the raised section. This raised bump on the base doesn’t perfectly align with my clit in every position but it works in enough scenarios for me to benefit from it. If I want to incorporate a clit vibe with the plug I still can, as long as I’m using one of the positions that makes the bump sit below my clit.

Using the Fugu Plug as a Dildo

Using the Fugu plug more like a traditional dildo gives me excellent entrance stimulation; my vestibular bulbs and vaginal entrance are rather sensitive. The plug goes in deeper than just my entrance, of course, but because I am sliding the swell over this area repeatedly the entrance feels the most stimulation. If you’re someone who enjoys shallow to medium penetration, with average girth this pussy plug is a great option to double as a dildo. The raised bump of the base nudging into my clit over and over is enough to bring me to orgasm, too. This will vary depending on if this style of stimulation brings you to orgasm, but for me the entrance stimulation and clitoral stimulation is just right to send me over the edge.

How Well Does it Stay in? Can I Wear it Out?

Since the Fugu plug doesn’t quite lock in behind my pubic bone the way some pussy plugs do, it will start to work its way out if I’m lying on my back and not clenching to keep it in. It also isn’t one of the plugs I can use for heavier movement activities like yoga, because it will come out. However, it is just fine for walking and leaving the house in, as long as I don’t have to do a lot of crouching. Something like a quick errand at the grocery store, or grabbing drinks, is just fine. If the neck was a bit more narrow compared to the bulb section of the plug it would lock into my vaginal canal easier, but it would make thrusting with it more difficult. Just consider what activities you plan to be doing with your pussy plug when looking at shapes and deciding which to buy.

The base on the Fugu plug is a bit wide for me, because it does end up digging into my thighs, which can get uncomfortable if I’m walking around with it for a long time. However, it doesn’t cause problems during masturbation, or seated use.

How Does it Feel to Use?

Certain pussy plugs are really easy for me to tune out, because they’re not textured, they’re super squishy, and their base is incredibly simple. There is nothing wrong with this style, when that’s what I’m aiming for. Sometimes though I want to be reminded that I’m wearing a pussy plug, staying aware of it and the pleasure it brings. The Fugu is one of the plugs that keeps me aware of its presence, in a good way.

One of the best things about the Fugu plug for me is it is actually hands-free stimulation that arouses me. Not all of my pussy plugs are capable of applying enough resistance to my walls, and pressing on sensitive areas to actually turn me on, without me doing anything. I do love my other pussy plugs for their pain relief, or adding to masturbation for something to clench on, but the Fugu goes a step beyond that. When I am walking around with the Fugu, or even sitting and gaming (or whatever) I will start to get turned on, even if I wasn’t before. This has been a really fun aspect for me, because I don’t have any sex toys that really succeed in hands-free arousal. Choosing the 00-50 soft shore is part of what makes it as good as it is for me, because it’s the perfect resistance while still being soft enough to not become painful with long term wear.

The Fugu plug has been a good balance of pain relief and pleasure for me, and I’m very happy to have it in my collection. It’s my favorite video game plug because of the raised bump for grinding, and the pressure it puts on sensitive internal spots. However it’s not the plug I reach for when I plan to do more strenuous activities like yoga or cleaning since it’s more likely to slip out when I’m not actively clenching to keep it in. As far as pain relief, the thicker neck is sometimes good, sometimes bad. Depending on where my tension knots are currently at, the thicker neck can feel great for keeping my entrance more stretched, or it can feel bad because it’s putting pressure in a bad spot. Nothing wrong with the plug design, just how it interacts with my body at times.

Like I said, the Fugu plug also works as a butt plug as it has a completely anal-safe base. I have yet to try it out as a butt plug though because I have just been so invested as using it in my pussy. If I ever get around to using it as a butt plug I will update this.

Cleaning

Cleaning the Fugu plug is very easy, and since there’s no mechanical parts or batteries, waterproofness is not a concern. This of course also makes it safe for use in water. For a thorough guide on keeping silicone clean, and how to sanitize it you can read Uberrime’s guide.
