Cupsland is a new company that launched with a single product, the Twirl 1.0. They have added two other products since launching, the Surge, a suction and vibration toy, and the Cupsland Cock Ring but today we’ll be discussing the Cupsland Twirl 1.0.
Features and Appearance
Cupsland Twirl 1.0 has a unique feature that twists, just as the name implies. The bottom portion of the case twists, expanding the inside of the case to make the sleeve of the stroker tighter. There are three levels to this twist, meaning the stroker has four “settings”, if you include the default setting of no twist. The sleeve of the stroker is made from what Cupsland is calling NaturSKIN, which I’m positive is still a TPE-like material, and therefore porous. Visually, the sleeve is designed to look like a vulva, and in our opinion (mine and my partner’s) it’s well crafted, with an attention to detail, including skin texture. The case is a diamond cut design that is easy to hold, and potentially blend into your environment so it’s not as easily spotted as a sex toy.

I am very intrigued by the twisting function, and the fact it allows for a more customizable experience and session. If you lose sensitivity while wanking this feature could be helpful. Or if you’re someone who struggles to feel sensation, or to get an erection, the tighter settings could be useful for you. That is, for those who can fit into this stroker.
Before Use Advice
Like pretty much all TPE/TPR sex toys the Cupsland Twirl 1.0 arrives covered in cornstarch (renewing powder, or whatever you want to call it) so I highly suggest washing it with soap and water 3-4 times before attempting to use it. This is because once this powder gets wet it becomes tacky and prevents the toy from feeling as good as it can. When you’re ready to use your Twirl 1.0 make sure you use water-based lubricant or hybrid lubricant (that you spot tested beforehand). Avoid silicone lubes and oil-based lubes as these can degrade the material.
Fit Issues
My partner has an above average penis, as I’ve said here before. It’s why he uses so many caseless strokers, and why roomy strokers are such a big deal to him. His girth (circumference) ranges from 5.5 to 6.5 inches, varying at different points on his dick, which is 1.75-2.0 inch diameter. No matter how much lube is involved, he can hardly get any of his dick into this sleeve while it’s in the case, even with no twisting feature involved. He can slide the head of his dick into the sleeve, and the fit is so tight that when he pulls back out his glans look like a deflated balloon. Stroking was impossible.

Twist Function and Accessibility
The twisting function is not very masturbation friendly, either. You have to grip the case with one hand, while you turn the twist function with the other. If you have lube on your hands this can make things messy. The twist function is also just not very easy to turn so if you have hand or wrist mobility issues this is likely to give you more trouble. Same goes for strength, and grip issues. Not disability-friendly in other words.

How Does the Sleeve Feel?
This isn’t the first time a case and sleeve combo masturbator has been too tight for him and impossible to use (and I’m sure it won’t be the last), so he used the Cupsland Twirl 1.0 sleeve by itself to get a feel for that. The material is very soft and stretchy, so outside of the case it could accommodate his size without issue. The sleeve is shorter than other brands of sleeves that go in cases such as Fleshlight and Satisfyer, so it is easier to hold and use without its case, too. The longer sizes mean more floppy ends and difficulty keeping it upright for stroking. Since it is a super soft sleeve meant to be in a case though it can be a small struggle to actually get your penis (or preferred term) into the sleeve, at first. Once inside the sleeve the texture is soft and more subtle. If paired with the case it would likely feel a bit more extreme but as a stand-alone it’s good for people who don’t want to be over-stimulated. He said he feels the “donut rings” more on the out-stroke than the in-stroke, because the rings pull at his glans and foreskin.

Despite the fact this sleeve is a closed-end design it doesn’t provide a lot of suction. Even when squeezing the air out of the stroker my partner said it never feels very tight, like some other closed-end strokers can. It does handle lube well, no drip issues and it drying up easily isn’t a concern, either. The overall internal shape is good, and ends up feeling like it accommodates the shape of a penis (or your preferred term) super well. He said some strokers can feel very straight up-and-down internally, but the nooks of this one give it less of an abrupt feeling and more of a natural curved sensation that cups you well.
Who Could the Cupsland Twirl 1.0 Work For?
The Twirl 1.0 is a good example of even if the toy doesn’t work for one person it may work excellently for another. If you’re someone who finds most strokers to be too big for you the Cupsland Twirl 1.0 may be just what you’re looking for. If your penis is below the average girth size (which is 4.59 inches) this stroker may be exactly what you need. Its insertable length is listed at 5.4 inches, but you can be under or over that size and still get use, as long as your girth fits. I appreciate sex toys that cater to folks outside of average sizes, too!

Cleaning and Drying
Cleaning the sleeve is like cleaning other closed-end sleeves, and will require you to be diligent about soaping and rinsing, and making sure you remove all body fluids and lube from all the pockets before drying. These types of sleeves can be turned inside out to make cleaning easier, but be careful to avoid tears and rips. It’s not mandatory to turn it inside out for a good clean, it just requires more patience and diligence on your part. The Twirl 1.0 includes a drying rod! I wish every single TPE stroker came with a drying rod because I would have a lot more peace of mind that people are fully drying their toys (which stresses me out because I’ve read multiple mold stories). This drying rod is listed as a diatom material, but I’ve noticed it’s less absorbent than other drying rods my partner has, and requires more time to absorb the moisture. Something is better than nothing though, and I love that it’s included. Dry the outside of the sleeve with a lint free cloth or paper towel. It’s very important that the sleeve is completely dry, inside and out, before being put back into the case to avoid said mold.

If you need to clean the case I suggest using wipes. I’m normally very much a “use soap and water on everything” person, but if you get water inside this case it’s the biggest pain in the butt to get dry. Leave the experimenting to folks like me who review professionally. If you do end up rinsing your case in water like I did and you’re trying to figure out how to dry the Twirl 1.0 case, twist it to the last setting, and stand it upright on a fan, so air is blowing inside. Shake the case vigorously a few times a day, and eventually you’ll have everything drained and dry. It took 2 full days to get it dry when I made the mistake. Don’t be like me.
